Bedankt is Flemish for “thanks”. Maybe it means the same thing in Dutch in general, hmm… Like we’ve said, we’re learning. Claire made that cute graphic, BTW. The girl has skills. Ha!
But really, we just want to say thank you to everyone that has been praying, giving, commenting, texting, etc. We have been so overwhelmed by the amount of people who have encouraged us in so many ways. We are thankful for each and everyone of you and are thankful to have you on board with us in this.
There is vulnerability in sharing with the world a calling/dream/plan that has yet to come to fruition. There’s always the dreaded feeling of what if we crash and burn for everyone to see? Well, if we do, we know we are well loved by you guys. And, honestly, again and again we are reminded that this is so not about us. The Lord is working. He is good. His way is right and his plans are his. We understand that this could look foolish, maybe even to some of you. This flies in the face of conventional wisdom on some levels, and really isn’t a big deal on others. Yet Proverbs 21:30 has been on repeat in our heads, “No wisdom, no understanding, no counsel can avail against the LORD.”
This is his. And for that, we so very gratefully say, “Thanks”. Or bedankt. Or dank u wel. Or merci. Or danke. It’s complicated.
